Hey, everyone another year is coming to a close on the IRONMAN TRIATHLON in Lake Placid. This is RICH YOUR SPORTSCASTER coming to you from the finish line of the Ironman Lake Placid. Another exciting day has taken place in Lake Placid and over 2500 men and women tri-athletes have participated in the most grueling race this area offers.

It is nice to see all the satisfaction and smiles of these athletes and they hobble across the finish line; signifying the race is over for another year. My MY MY you would never in a million years catch me do this; I would not even make it out of the swim portion (lol). But, anyway CONGRATULATIONS! HATS OFF! YOU ARE TRUE IRONMAN RACERS!

Its that time of the year again, RICH YOUR SPORTSCASTER here dropping you a line about the exciting event happening this Sunday July 22nd. Yes, it is that time of the year again and the IRONMAN TRIATHLON is finally here. Yes, athletes from all over the world ascend on Lake Placid for this long and strenuous event.

Boy oh boy, this guy would never do what these people do; I would pass out from exhaustion. It is a race that starts at 7am and officially does not end for some athletes till midnight. They swim 2.5 miles around Mirror Lake, bike 112 miles through some of the Adirondacks and run a marthon race of 26 miles. (WOW!!! Good luck to these individuals cause you would find me floating in the Lake LOL!!) or (at least on the side of the road somewhere)!

There is plenty for the spectators and family goers to do during this long day. Like supporting their loved ones through out the course (more my speed) volunteering at many different areas of the race, or just hanging out at the Speed Skating Oval at the finsh line cheering all these brave souls to victory. HORRAYYY!!!

OHHH LA! LA! MADAME CUISINE here coming to you from CHARLIE’S RESTAURANT AND T-BAR located adjacent and attached to the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort. Just, wanted to let all you culinary delights out there know about the rave reviews we recently got from a reporter and food critic.

Thank you again to Mr. Bryon Nilsson for visiting the Golden Arrow and Charlie’s restaurant and giving us your excellent opinion of the cuisine and ambiance the restaurant and bar has to offer. From myself Madame Cuisine I give you two OHH LA LAS! and am so glad you enjoyed all the delicious cuisine that Charlie and myself have been whipping up in the kitchen. Boy, are my legs filling the pain from running around getting the ingredients and preparing all these hot and tasty dishes. (shhh… dont tell Charlie but I am expecting a raise! lol)

Hey, everyone this is RICH THE SPORTSCASTER MADAME CUISINE AND LITTLE Z coming to you from the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort. Summer had finally arrived and boy are all of us just crazy with excitement about all the exciting events and activites going on this summer season. Of course, we only have time to tell you a few but lets see if we can all fit this in quickly before the sun goes down.

Ladies first!!! Thank you Rich! Ohh La La!!! this is MADAME CUISINE and boy has the barbecues been stoking all over Lake Placid. Boy is this ole girl tired from all the excitement this past weekend. They had the I Love BBQ Festival at the Speed Skating Oval in Lake Placid and was there enough good eats to make this ole girl gain at least 30 pds. WWWWOOOOWWW!!! We had a nice demonstration of some of the talented grillers right here in our own backyard. Mr. Cheshire Feld was gracious enough to showcase his talents right on the beach at our lovely resort. Boy, was it delicious. Of course, there was lots of talents all weekend long and what a great time was had by all.

Thats right even the kids including myself LITTLE Z had fun this weekend with the games and activitez they had at the festival. Including potato sack races, scavenger hunts and all kinds of games. Boy, I cannot wait for this WEDNESDAY THE FOURTH OF JULY when the excitement of the parade and the Fireworxs that are going off in Lake Placid. As well as, my Buddy Nick will be offering all kinds of fun and games for the children right at the resort. Well, its time for my nap time so i will hand it over to you Rich.

Thank you, LITTLE Z, and dont be too hard on your mom during your nap. Well, not only is there all exciting events going on and around Lake Placid around the Fourth of July. But, RICH wanted to remind you not to forget the summer series of the WET AND WILD WEDNESDAYS and SOARING SATURDAYS at the Verizon Ski Jumping Complex. If you do not know what that is, almost every Wednesday in July and August all different people around the United States and Canada showcase their aerial talents. They do all kinds of flips and turns and land in a large swimming pool. Boy, you would not catch me up their, I would be dizzy and get sick from all the flips (however the pool sounds nice). Then on Saturdays they hand it over to the Ski Jumpers who from the ski jumps soar over a waterized rubber mat and land on this which simulates packed snow. It is very exciting and boy do these men and women fly just like a bird. (wish I had wings to fly haha)
