We are a family owned resort that has strived since 1974 to have our guests feel welcome and right at home in the Lake Placid area. Many guests visit our resort year after year and enjoy all the hospitality that we have to offer. Our hand picked staff has been called the friendliest in town & would be more than happy to assist you in planning your vacation.
We encourage all of you to spend the time and write about your experiences in Lake Placid and your stay at the Golden Arrow. Just have to say our 5 hour trip to see ya was well worth it.
We came in Feb and it was SOOO cold..to us at least but our room was great we got one overlooking the lake and we got to watch the snow dogs getting on their leash for dog sledding along with being able to go out on our balcony and see the toboggan riders at night. The kids could see when the lights came on down at the toboggan ride and knew it was time to go.The staff was Great that booked our room and reserved oe overlooking the lake for us thank u thank you..our oldest enjoyed boarding whiteface and we took in the gondola ride and then off to the ski jumps and ice skating at the oval and then the oldest did the skeleton which was too cool then back to the resort to take a dip in the pool and warm up and finish getting rid of any extra energy they may have had..my poor hubby had pneumonia when we cam up but sucked it up to have fun with kids for a bit the sauna was a well relief for him and the hottub..We hope to come back and see how summer is there and hopefully overlook the lake again..and hubby not be sick and we will definitely be back for winter …so much fun and nice people all over…we especially loved the pizza place across the street from the oval next to gas station great prices and great staff there too guy made kids pirate hats out of newspapers and a boat they thought it was so cool..Hope to see ya’ll again soon…

I just wanted to comment on your hotel, we had a fantastic time in Lake Placid this past weekend. We stayed in the Algonquin Suite and the accomodations were just wonderful. We have stayed with you a few times over the past 7 or 8 years and each time the rooms are clean, the service is great and we can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Lake Placid. Thank you for making our most recent visit enjoyable and memorable. We definitely would recommend your establishment as the best place to stay in Lake Placid, NY. Thank you. Heather Johnson

I just want to thank and congratulate the Golden Arrow Resort. We love you! I have stayed with you on many occassions over the years and every time has been great. Your staff and rooms are great! Your commitment to being “Green” is great! Thank you for being an inspiration. I tell hotel owners in my home town to aspire to your standards.
I hope to see you soon and thank you for the Christmas card- it was so cool.

My wife and myself would like to thank everyone for a wonderful time at your hotel. We would like to thank the young lady that took our reservations and gave us a great room overlooking the lake. It was our 35th Wedding Anniversary and you made it special for us.
Thank you to your staff for always having a smile for us and helping us all the time. A very special thank you to our housekeeper our room was very clean. As a nurse I fear the bathrooms, but our room and bathroom was so clean and I never feared the bathroom or tub.
When we arrived the front desk was awesome, there was a gift bag for us and a very nice note from the owners, it was so nice and made us feel so welcome, again Thank You.
The restaurant was great, our breakfast and dinners were awesome and the staff were so nice and again always had a smile and were so pleasant.
We will be returning to Lake Placid again, and we will stay at your place, and we have told all our friends to go to the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort. Thank you so much for making us feel so important, safe, relaxeed and just welcomed.

Love the place we have been coming since 2005 before that we used ride to the coast for 4 hours just to get there. We try to make it for all four seasons but I love the fall the best. We will be back 10th and 11th of Ocotber again this year for our 28 wedding anniversary and we enjoy our stay each time. We have told our friends about the Golden Arrow and they now stay with you when they come up to Lake Placid. Our favorite room is the Gothics room but we have stayed in others and are they clean and neat everytime we stay. We would like to Thank your you and all of your staff for doing everything to make our stay with you so wonderful. See you soon.

Dear Friends at the Golden Arrow:
My wife and I were guests at your resort. One night we sat our on our deck facing the lake. I love to write poetry so grabbed my notebook and wrote “Adironack Grace”. The evening was perfect! I wanted you to have a copy.
ADIRONDACK GRACE
The heart in constant search
of pleasures to fill it’s vase-
finds enough in the Adironacks
with it’s rustic mountain grace.
A breeze whispers softly
stars fill the evening sky-
moonlight dances on the lake
it’s something you can’t buy.
Shadows of the mountains
caught in heavens light-
stand quietly in the distance
seeming to grow in height.
Two Lovers stand together
their heads tipped to the sky-
leaving this worlds problems
