We are a family owned resort that has strived since 1974 to have our guests feel welcome and right at home in the Lake Placid area. Many guests visit our resort year after year and enjoy all the hospitality that we have to offer. Our hand picked staff has been called the friendliest in town & would be more than happy to assist you in planning your vacation.
We have one of the best locations in the Lake Placid region. Beautiful in a winter or summer setting, our location directly on the shores of Mirror Lake and in the heart of the Olympic Village puts everything from shopping to skating literally right outside your door. The Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort is proud to be Lake Placid’s Green Hotel. We are one of only a dozen properties in North America to have recieved the Audubon Societies 4 Green Leaf Eco Rating for Hotels.
We encourage all of you to spend the time and write about your experiences in Lake Placid and your stay at the Golden Arrow. Counting the days until we arrive next friday it`s been two years!! Last time we and our extended family including two dogs stayed in the Debar and Cascade suites. This will be our first stay with a Lake view. We just called this am and added the dogs your staff was so accommodating and made my panic seem like no big deal!! Thank you and see you in 6 days!!!!

My family and I just recently stayed at your resort, in the Santanoni Suite. The resort, accommodations, view and the customer service from your staff were superior. When we get back to Lake Placid I will not consider any other resort to stay in. One of the highlights of the trip was your complimentary row boat; there is no better bonding for a father and his 12 year old daughter then rowing across Mirror Lake. Thank you for a great vacation!
Golden Arrow Resort:
My husband and I have been to Lake Placid every year in the Spring since our engagement March 1999 (in LP). Each time we have stayed at the Golden Arrow. We love it so much that in the last 3 years we have brought my parents along. Before that my husband used to come with his buddies for a golf trip. LP has great golf and shopping and the best accommodations at the Golden Arrow. Now that we have a child it is the only time we get away for a break. A yearly tradition for sure.

We just returned from our wonderful vacation in Lake Placid at the Golden Arrow. You made our anniversary celebrations most memorable. The gift bags were so thoughtful and we cannot thank you enough for giving us the best rooms in the house. Coming out of our rooms and seeing the magnificent view of the lake and the mountains was just great. We thoroughly enjoyed the boats too. The hospitality of the staff, especially Cindy, our housekeeper, made our stay even more enjoyable. You run a first class establishment and we will be sure to recommend the Golden Arrow to everyone. We wanted to write to thank you for your wonderful hospitality during our stay at your resort in February. Our trip was particularly special, as we were married in your lobby! Your staff could not have made it any more perfect; we felt we received elite service, making the memories at the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort even more precious to us. Royalty is how we were treated; every need was met with grace and swiftness. Thank you!
Besides the amazing staff and service, the facilities were very welcoming and charming, yet modern and comforting. We truly enjoyed staying in the Panther Suite, where we could host our friends in the living room, cuddle up by the fire, watch a movie from bed, enjoy both balconies and the magnificent winter wonderland view, and soak in the large whirlpool tub. In addition, the pool and game area kept us occupied the first night we were there, and being connected to Roomer’s and the Alpine Mall was convenient and safe. Charlie’s Restaurant also deserves our praise; their food was delicious, the staff friendly, and the room-service very accommodating. Staying within walking distance to the Olympic Village and quaint village shops made for the ideal location.
Your resort will remain part of our memories for a lifetime to come. The setting of our wedding, our photos capture the great backdrop the Golden Arrow provided, and we’ll always cherish your destination. We hope to visit again, perhaps while celebrating an anniversary!

Thank you for making our 60th anniversary so enjoyable. We just cannot thank you enough for all that you did for us. The Echo Suite was most enjoyable, beginning with the 2 scented candles lit when we came in. What a beautiful welcome. The whole suite was fantastic. We felt right at home.

I recently stayed in the ALGONQUIN SUITE and 100% loved the stay in this room and at the resort. The bed is so comfy and we loved the Jacuzzi tub. We also loved the “green” policies! Little details like Kohler fixtures make it great. This is an awesome resort!!
Thank you for another awesome stay! Your kind staff has made this stay phenomenal. The “Welcome Gift Bag” is so thoughtful and sweet. It is also great that you participate to the “green” program and no smoking policies, these are excellent initiatives. Looking forward to our next stay!

Thank you so much for your response about the Windfall Suite. We are glad that enjoy this room. There will be in the new wing when it is finished three new kitchenette suites available called our Tabletop Suites. At this point the construction crew has not given any further details about the arrangement. These rooms should be done by no later then late summer season. Please contact us anytime in the future and we should have further information on the set up and bed arrangements. We thank you for your response.

My husband and I were married in North Elba at the Paul White Memorial Band Shell in 2004. In the past, we stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn, but your courteous staff, beautiful waterfront and reasonable prices got our attention two years ago. We just “stopped in” to view the guest rooms and last fall we had a wonderful long weekend at the Golden Arrow. Well your hotel was such a nice experience I just wanted to tell you that all the effort you and your staff put into the hotel is really appreciated. I own nursery schools in NJ and know how hard it is to compete with larger companies and keep good staff and all the other obstacles to maintaining excellence. We are also a family run business.
