Yes, Spring Season is avidly in the air. Temps reaching this weekend in April into the 80’s (WOW…very nice). The lakes are unfrozen, few ice caps left on the mountain and the golf courses are drying out nicely. What better way to leave that cabin fever behind than to take a much needed trip to the Golden Arrow in breathtaking Lake Placid.

RICH YOUR TOUR GUIDE is back and actually is showing a little leg with my shorts on today (chicken legs..hehe), it is so unusually warm this time of year. I am not complaining though. Time to pack up those hiking boots and head up to the Adironack Peaks of Mount Marcy or grab your canoe and oars and spend a relaxing afternoon on Mirror Lake. For all of you fisherman, the Ausable River is a great place to fly fish and catch some nice size trout. They will provide any trail maps or answer any of your outdoor activity questions.

Do not forget to grab that mountain bike and try all of the great off road and on road trails in this region!

For all of you golfers I am sure that you are aware of the pristine golf courses in Lake Placid. Our very own MS. DEAL-MAKER has set up some superb golf packages that anyone who swings the club will want to check out. Enjoy the day at either Craigwood or LP Club Golf Course (do not forget the great 19th hole at the end of the day).

Now that the snow is gone and the lakes are unfrozen, the golf courses in the area have been cleaning up and getting ready for this upcoming season. What better to way to save money and golf in Lake Placid then to take part in the Golden Arrow’s superb Golf Packages!

You guessed it! MS. DEAL-MAKER is back and ready to unveil this year’s spring golf packages. (Personally, I am very excited as this gal loves to swing the clubs and beat out all the competition on the fairways…quite the competitive girl here so watch out..hehe) I have been watching for the past few days the weather warm up nicely and see all of those avid golfers on the driving ranges getting ready for the season to begin. I have 2 great spring golf packages that are available for midweek and weekends.

Without further ado, I introduce our SPRING BRINGS THE BIRDIES midweek golf package and THE WEEKEND EAGLE. The midweek golf package for $65 per person (double occupancy) or $99 (single occupancy) includes one night lodging in one of our spacious Deluxe Guest Rooms and your choice of a Round of Golf at either The Lake Placid Club Mountain Course or Craigwood Golf Course (cart is included-which is great for these wiery legs). The Weekend Golf Package for $99 per person (double occupancy) or $169 (single occupancy) includes the same choices as the midweek, however, there is a 2 night minimum stay requirement. (sorry but that is how the golf ball flies). If you preference is to play on the Links Course at the LP CLub, the Whiteface Inn or Saranac Inn there is an additional $15 surcharge per person per round paid directly to the Golf Course. So, many choices that you may have to stay for several days to play them all and we welcome everyone with open arms!!!

Okay, I am sure by now that you are aware that April 22nd is Earth Day and our gals at the Golden Arrow are holding some exciting kids activities. I have come up with a package to celebrate Earth Day. For $100 this package will include Deluxe Lodging for 2 adults and children under 12 stay free, FREE participation in all Earth Day activities for kids & we will retire enough carbon to offset the emmissions released during your stay. Last but not least (which our very own Cindy is shaking her leaves over), you will receive a carbon retirement certificate in your name!!! I feel this is a savings that everyone including our environment will benefit from.
