We are a family owned resort that has strived since 1974 to have our guests feel welcome and right at home in the Lake Placid area. Welcome everyone to the winter wonderland that is Lake Placid! Its MR. NEUTRAL coming to you from the Golden Arrow where are lovely disagreeable families are at it again about rooms and snow activites. Before, we get into there differences (believe me my head is aching from all of this), I want to let you all know about all the great snow that is descending on us. Officially, we are expecting 15 inches of fresh snow as I am writing this post. We already received at least over a foot in the past few weeks. (WOW!) Great for all of you winter activity seekers. So, let me see what the PRO AND CON FAMILIES are arguing about this time. Wish me luck!

We the PRO FAMILY think that it is soooo romantic to sit in our nice cozy PANTHER SUITE in front of the fireplace and watch all of this great powder falling. We ordered some tasty food and wine from CHARLIE’S RESTAURANT and are loving this mouth-watering meal. KUDOS! to Madame Cuisine. This is a two room suite with a private bedroom with a king size bed and the sitting room has the wood burning fireplace. To relax our weiry bones after a day of skiing we can relax together in the oversized whirlpool tub. This room is the BEST!

YOU ARE SO WRONG PRO FAMILY! The CON FAMILY with my wife and I and are two lovely children love the SANTANONI SUITE. My kids are enjoying all of the ice skating and skiing at the Kids Kampus at Whiteface Mountain. We found the current ski conditions at www.whiteface.com. THIS SNOW ROCKS! Then after a long day of winter activities we have a fireplace in our sitting room and the kids can retire to the bedroom with their own tv and two queen beds (where they can order a kids movie or a video game). While my wife and I sit on the pull-out couch enjoying the fireplace and the view. Don’t forget we have a whirlpool tub in the bath as well. (AHHHHH!!)

OH BOY! The Pro family and the Con family are at it again! MR. NEUTRAL here, still in the middle of this on going discussion of which rooms are better at the Golden Arrow. SO, I will let these two familes say their peace about their room of choice this time. (This ought to pretty interesting. Can someone pass me an asprin for the migraine that is headed my way)!

The CON COUPLE FAMILY says that another of our favorite Specialty Rooms in the resort has got to be the NORMANDY SPECIALTY ROOM. This is another perfect romantic setting for a loving couple such as ourselves or for those honeymooning or celebrating an anniversary. This luxurious room has a breathtaking view of Mirror Lake from the private balcony. It has a comfortable king size bed with a wood burning fireplace right in the room. To relax those weiry bones it has a two person whirlpool tub in the bath. (AHHHH! How great that feels after a day of hiking and your significant other dragging you from shop to shop). So, please dont listen to the PRO FAMILY cause it is Normandy all the way.

WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! THE PRO FAMILY with my wife and two kids here say that is completely false. For a calming experience for your children and wife the room of our choice has got to be the ALGONQUIN SUITE. This two room suite is perfect for a family of four. It has one room with a king size bed with a wood burning fireplace with a spectacular view of Mirror Lake. Then the kids can retire to their private room with a double bed with its own television while we watch tv in the king room. Also, the fabulous staff has rollaway beds for extra sleeping space. To top off this room, while the kids are playing or arguing you can relax your body in the oversized whirlpool tub in the bath. (THAT IS THE LIFE!) So, the PRO FAMILY will take space anyday over a smaller romantic room.

PRO PRO PRO FAMILY ALL THE WAY!!!! The CON COUPLE IS NUMBER 1 AND CORRECT!!!

Okay, time for me to step in here before there is a brawl in the pool with these two families. Okay, you both have valid points but both rooms are great and offer anyone the type of quality and space they are looking for. That is right the THE 3RD ANNUAL CRAFT FAIR for the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort is slowly approaching. Yes, we do more than reserve and sell hotel rooms, we also have a wonderful and exciting Craft Fair every year. This exciting event will be held in the Four Seasons Meeting Room of the resort at December 2nd, 2007 from 9am to 5pm.

Amanda who is the organizer of this great event is always looking for more vendors and people to sell their interesting merchandise. The table space is $30.00 fee per table and she needs to have vendors registered by Novmeber 18th, 2007. SANTANONI!!!! (NO) ECHO!!!! (NO) MORNINGSIDE!!!! (NO) NORMANDY!!!!!

No, this is not the Family Feud this is more like the WAR OF THE ROSES. Hey, everyone I have not chatted before neither have my two feuding families so let me introduce the gang! MR. NEUTRAL the one who tries to stay out of the room discussions; THE PRO FAMILY the couple who never seems to get along with their counterpart family; THE CON FAMILY who is a family of two adults and 2 children (they personally drive the Pro Family up the wall). I can never get these two families to agree on the best room in the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort because they each have different likes and dislikes. Well, wish MR. NEUTRAL luck here as I sort this mess out (God have mercy on my soul)!

Hi, everyone Mr. And Mrs. Pro just wanted to let all you future guests know that for us we like the private cozy rooms with either a fireplace, whirlpool, tub or both in the room. We love the ECHO SUITE because it has a nice cozy king size bed with an oversized whirlpool tub right in the main room. It has a wonderful view of Mirror Lake from the sitting section or the private balcony. We just love to share our anniversary in this room because it is so romantic and love the ROMANCE PACKAGE ADD ON FOR $50. My wife cannot get enough of this romantic bungalow. (You got that right sweetheart) KISSSS!!! HUGGGG!!!

No way, THE CON FAMILY, says that if you want comfort for the entire family, you have to try the ever so spacious and luxurious MORNINGSIDE SUITE. This room is perfect for the large families looking for the space and luxury of a kitchenette. This spacious two bedroom suite has 2 separate baths so that the children may be in one and myself and the wife can use our own private bathroom. (I am sure all you families know how that is). It has two spacious rooms with a king bed in one room and two queen beds in the other with a large sitting room. It also has a kitchenette and great view of Mirror Lake. This is a families dream to have all this great space with a spectacular view. OH! I forgot to mention one of the baths has an oversized whirlpool tub to relax those weary bones.

PROS ARE RIGHT, CONS ARE WRONG, IT IS ROMANTIC SETTING WITH THE ECHO SUITE THAT WE LOVE!!!!! WRONG WRONG WRONG THE CONS ARE RIGHT, SPACIOUS FAMILY SUITES LIKE THE MORNINGSIDE IS WHAT WE CHERISH!!!

Okay, while our two families discuss which rooms they like better, I just wanna say that I am MR. Well everyone it is about time the pets get a say around here and now is our time to speak (BARK!! BARK!!)
This is SAMMY AND CLARK coming at you from our favorite hotel the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort. Yes, you heard right folks pets are allowed to stay at the hotel.

For a small one time pet fee of $50.00 per stay and on the hotels third floor rooms, you can take your best pal with you whether it be canine or feline. Boy, do we love to chase them cats!!! Do you believe that part of the proceeds of the $50.00 per pet is donated by the Hotel to the Humane Society. Now that is barking right up my alley (WOOF). It is so great now we do not have to be left alone at home wondering whether our masters are ever coming back off their trip. We can join them right at the resort. Of course we all know that we are the ones that make all the decisions; the peoples just listen and take to all of our wants, needs and commands. (Rolf).

WOW!!! WHO WOULD EVER THINK THAT YOU WOULD SEE THE DRIBBLING OF A BASKETBALL IN LAKE PLACID!!!

Hey everyone this is Rich your Golden Arrow Sportscaster here, saying yes it is true. Lake Placid is hosting this Saturday May 12th and Sunday May 13th the LAKE PLACID PRIMETIME CHALLENGE. This girls’ AAU basketball event will host teams from throughout the Northeast United States and Canada. Teams are organized by age groups from 12-17. Games will be held at the OTC, Lake Placid High School, and Saranac Lake schools.

This is sure going to be an exciting event for any basketball fans of all ages. And it could not be a better time as the weather in Lake Placid this week has been phenomenal. The weather today alone reached in the 80’s and there seems to be no sign of good weather stopping.
